Examiner's Specific Advice

'How successful?' clearly indicates there must be debate over success and the essay must assess the degree and nature of success/failure. It must also consider the criteria by which success can be judged, looking both at Mussolini's own declared aims and at what, with hindsight, was for the good of Italy during the period. 'Economic policies' restricts treatment to policies relating to the economy more or less directly - you should not include, therefore, reference to religious, political or social policies except insofar as they have an economic content.
